After Court
- Be proud of your child, no matter what the outcome is. Testifying is difficult and your child needs to be reassured that he/she did his/her best.
- It can be empowering for your child to have had his/her “say” in court.
- Any disappointment that you have about the outcome should be discussed privately with other adults or professionals.
- Be optimistic about the future for your child. With parental support, children can be very resilient.
