When children are required to testify in court, they are thrust into the very adult world of the Canadian Criminal Justice System. When a child is required to testify as a result of something they witnessed or experienced, a specialized child focused approach is essential. Running a volunteer based Court Accompaniment Program can be a highly successful way to meet the needs of child witnesses and their families on the day of court and to reduce the chance of further traumatization.

Training for Child Witness Court Preparation & Court Accompaniment

We can provide in-person training (there would be additional costs for travel etc) with your chosen group of volunteers, or we will train your trainer so you can facilitate your own training.
